'A teenage girl opens a door to what she thinks is adventure when settling in to her new home at Quincy Psychiatric Unit, she settles in considerably well and holds secrets which are on tongue of revealing. Kim's adventure leaves others in depths of despair when challenging beyond the norm in this home, all is revealed when she takes a trip down the sprawling corridors, leading to a place of mystery. Terror is thrown upon us as Maria inadvertently unleashes from the unknown without a trace, a nightmare in the past becomes reality again when a missing list of patients emerge and murder becomes the 'norm' in this institution.'
This is ONLY an IDEA for a synopsis but to ensure I understood the conventions and theory researched, I deconstructed my synopsis using Burton's theory. For my first synopsis I believe I conveyed my understanding well, my synopsis adhered to most of Burton's key elements and related to the similarities found in previous research. For example, when researching Burton's theory and 3 synopsis, I found the setting is often in a domestic or private sphere which is personal and illustrates themes of danger within the home, my idea was set in a psychriatric unit which suggests we are not safe anywhere and a lack of hope of being saved, which increases vulnerability.
