Challenging horror film trailers with shot development

Today we was discussing the composition of our shots. Through our research as a group we understand that the last shot in a trailer is the film title and release date, this is a convention the majority of trailers adhere to as it allows the date and title to remain in the viewers mind. We decided that we want our last shot to be a snap of the trailer, where we will show a man getting pulled and then a 1 second flash of the killers face.
