And the planning begins!

Today we began our planning for our trailer, we were set into groups and we began the process by discussing our own ideas for synopsis. I was lucky enough to discuss my ideas with Jesse O'mahoney, this was an opportunity which really helped me define my idea and having experienced input was something priceless!

When talking to Jesse about my idea, he gave me strong advice, he said 'your idea is good, you have good elements but you need to be able to define the story in 2 lines.' He explained that to keep an audience or even attract your target audience you need an emotional hook which catches people as they are able to communicate, understand and analyse our story through personal experience. I took this advice on board and began discussing synopsis' as a group.

Me and my 2 group members all had different ideas, with the help of Jesse we took aspects of each idea and made one strong idea. We decided our idea was a group of teenagers going through stressful time of exams, the majority cheat and one faithful student fails and does not get grades for university, the success of the cheaters lead her to commit suicide where her twin sister seeks to gain revenge. We came up with the idea that the revenge was going to be through examination with who passed survived and those who failed faced a long, painful death. This secures a continuous theme of exams and ambition.
